VisionTek VISIONTEK XTASY AGP 64MB VGA NVIDIA GEFORCE 4MX 440S-VIDEO OUT (VisionTek-30001520)

VisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 MX 440

WHAT'S HOT: Even at its affordable $105 price, VisionTek's Xtasy GeForce4 MX 440 performed well in tests, achieving playable frame rates at all resolutions. In our TrueSpace 3D modeling tests, we saw vibrant colors and smooth rendering.

NVidia's new NView technology lets you hook up two analog or digital displays in any combination.

WHAT'S NOT: Colors looked mildly washed out in Quake III, and appeared dark and muddy (more so than usual) in Unreal Tournament.

WHAT ELSE: If you need more speed at the highest resolutions, an NVidia GeForce4 Ti- or ATI Radeon 8500-based card may be a better fit. Otherwise, this GeForce4 MX board offers a good value for casual users.

UPSHOT: A wonderful card that performs well for casual gamers, but doesn't provide enough power for gaming fanatics.
