Epson raises the stakes on scanner resolution this month with a 3200-dpi optical model, which debuts as our new Corporate Best Buy. It has a 4-by-9-inch transparency area as well as a generous software bundle. Meanwhile, HP's new Scanjet 5550c, with its 35-page-capacity automatic document feeder, provides an affordable option for small offices that need to scan a lot of documents quickly. Microtek's ScanMaker 6800 replaces the ScanMaker 6700.
