Best Buy: Lexmark X5150
It figures. In a product category in which versatility is key, the multifunction printer with the most workmanlike performance across the board earns our Best Buy nod over MFPs that made faster prints or generated higher-quality output. The X5150 equals comparably priced ink jet printers in speed and output quality. It's an affordable workhorse suitable for a home or a small office.
Honorable mentions go to the Canon MultiPass MP730, which printed high-quality text and graphics at a decent clip, and to the HP PSC 2210, which was another strong all-around performer, though it was somewhat slower than our Best Buy.
