Download of the Month: Save Time and Paper With PrintMagic
If you print an entire document or Web page just to keep a hard copy of a few lines, you're wasting paper and ink. PrintMagic simplifies printing text extracts from word processors, Acrobat Reader, Web browsers, and almost any other application. Just select the text you want to print, choose an option from PrintMagic, and then reactivate the window containing the selection. You can add notes or an automatic date and time stamp to these printouts. Especially useful is PrintMagic's Printboard feature, which allows you to drag any text selection to a special window, creating a collection of text snippets that you can print together (saving even more paper). It is true that you could accomplish the same thing by pasting the extracts into a word processor. But for students and researchers who do this a lot, the drag-and-drop convenience and other features may justify the program's $25 registration fee. If you're not sure, go to MacEase.com to try the fully functional demo version.
