News: Where to Find an Oasis
You're in the airport; your notebook battery needs a power boost; and you need an Internet connection. Look for an oasis--a PowerOasis, that is. PowerOasis, a New Hampshire-based company, currently operates its eponymous terminals at 23 U.S. airports. A PowerOasis terminal combines an AC power outlet (with surge protection) and either a dial-up or high-speed Internet connection, according to the company. Some terminals are located alongside pay phones; others are freestanding. At rates starting at 50 cents per minute, though, you'd better hope your notebook battery recharges quickly.
