Eastman Kodak has unveiled a new redesigned printer dock and three new digital cameras--the DX7440, CX7530, and CX7330--in its EasyShare line.
Printer Dock Specs
The new printer dock incorporates Pictbridge technology that makes it compatible with other brands of cameras; its multi-function connector works with EasyShare 600/6000 and 700/7000 series digital cameras.
It produces 4-by-6-inch full-size and multi-image picture sheets with its thermal printing system, and can transfer pictures to a computer as well as recharge your camera's battery.
You'll be able to find the new printer dock on store shelves in June for $149.
Camera Details
The DX7440 is a 4-megapixel camera with a 4x optical zoom lens, 22 scene and color modes, and a Color Science image processing chip. The CX7530 is a 5-megapixel model that offers a 3x optical zoom lens, a multi-zone auto-focus system, nine shooting modes, and Pictbridge compatibility. The CX7330 features 3-megapixel resolution, a 3x optical zoom lens, and eight scene and color modes.
The DX7440 and CX7330 are scheduled to become available in June. The DX7440 will be priced at $349 and the CX7330, at $199. The CX7530 will retail for $299 when it ships in July.
All three cameras will ship with the latest edition of Kodak's EasyShare software for Mac, which requires Mac OS X v10.2.3 and Safari 1.0 or higher. A company representative says version 3.4, which features minor performance enhancements, won't be available for download. The Kodak Web site will continue to host version 3.3 for the Mac.
