LG Electronics Flatron L1710SK
At a Glance

The Flatron L1710SK is among the few monitors we've tested in the past few months that earned Outstanding scores for both text and graphics quality. When tested at default color temperature, the L1710SK exhibited a pinkish tint that some of our testers found distracting. But in informal tests using the well-organized controls, we found it easy to tweak the settings to suit different tastes. A notable addition to these controls is the L1710SK's LightView button, which provides presets for viewing text, movies, or photos--with different presets to optimize each of these by day or night lighting conditions--along with a user-configurable mode. The price ($399 as of this writing) is one of the lowest we've seen for an LCD monitor of this size--and a very pleasant surprise for a monitor of this quality.
The Flatron L1710SK combines excellent image quality and easy-to-use controls. The only cheap thing about it is the price.
