Easy Listening

Few gadgets wirelessly stream digital music from a PC to a stereo as neatly as Roku's $249 SoundBridge M1000. The device looks good, its display and remote are functional and friendly, and setup is a snap: It talks directly to ITunes, so you don't have to install any special software.

One thing we'd change: SoundBridge can't play copy-protected music that you've downloaded from Apple's ITunes Music Store.

TV Without Wires

Flat-panel LCDs are great space savers that provide bright, high-resolution images. But they're not easy to move from room to room. Sharp's Wireless Aquos LC-15L1U-S TV takes mobility seriously. The 15-inch flat panel's built-in rechargeable battery supports up to 3 hours of viewing, plus you get a carrying handle and a removable table stand. A separate wireless audiovisual center connects it to cable, VCR, and DVD video sources. Take the panel up to 50 feet away from the A/V center. Voilá: TV anywhere.

One thing we'd change: We'd reduce the device's unexpected heftiness (11 pounds).
