Yamaha's $799 DVD-S2500 features a 216-MHz/12-bit digital-to-analog video converter and a FireWire port. This device is rare in its ability to pipe DVD-A and SACD audio via FireWire. Expected in January.

TV Anywhere
Belkin's PureAV RemoteTV ($500) lets you stream Scrubs from the TiVo in your den to the TV in your bedroom. The transmitter sends audio and video from a cable box, DVD player, or other component to a receiver that you hook up to a TV in another room in your house.

Small Wonder
Sony's 5.1-megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-M1 ($600) digital camera can record VGA-resolution video to Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. It also has the interesting ability to record video for 5 seconds before and 3 seconds after you snap a still. Due by the time you read this.
