Dave's Favorites: Learn Digital Photography at Web Photo School
Are you itching to learn more about digital photography? You're not alone. Every year, thousands of people take lessons from local camera stores; travel to special seminars like the ones offered by Nikon; and read exciting, well-crafted resources like this very column. Here's another place to grow your skills: the Web Photo School.
The Web Photo School site is packed with more than 15 free and 200 paid lessons you can take online at your pace. The site features a free tour that you can use to decide if you're best in the beginner, intermediate, or advanced classes. The courses are divided into nine categories that cover topics as diverse as camera basics, lighting, portraiture, shooting still life, shooting auction photos, outdoor photography, and image editing with Adobe Photoshop.
I like the fact that the lessons are not costly; simple lessons are as cheap as 99 cents, in fact, and range up to several dollars each. You can also subscribe to unlimited lessons for $8 per month or $60 per year.
Web Photo School is a cool addition to your browser's photo bookmarks; go check out one of the free lessons and see for yourself.
