Dave's Favorites: Effortlessly E-Mail Photos With Photoleap
If you've ever tried e-mailing digital photos, then you no doubt already know about the pitfalls of sending large files over the Internet. E-mail just wasn't designed for sending 6-megapixel pictures. Most e-mail servers impose a file size limit that can trap your pictures before they reach their destination. And even if they do arrive, they can bog down the recipient's e-mail client or cause other difficulties. Photoleap is the best solution I've ever found to this problem.
Photoleap looks and acts like a specialized e-mail program designed just for digital photos. You can drag JPEG pictures of any size into Photoleap's message window or use the Add Pictures button to select files using a traditional file dialog box. Then you just type in your message and send the e-mail.
Photoleap uses a proprietary technology to deliver the message and all of its photo attachments to your recipient's copy of Photoleap--no matter what size the image files are. I was blown away by how efficiently this system works; I've used it to send a half-dozen 6-megapixel photos in a single message, and the images show up on the destination PC ready to be viewed, saved, or printed.
If you like to share digital photos and don't like the idea of resizing your images for e-mail or using one of those online sharing sites, you should definitely download Photoleap. It's free--at least for now--and it works superbly. When it comes to sharing digital images, Photoleap is my new best friend.
