Malfunctioning Nikon Batteries
Nikon is recalling more than 700,000 batteries for its D50, D70, and D100 digital SLR cameras. The lithium ion batteries that came with units sold from May 2004 to November 2005 can short-circuit, melt, or burn users. Some batteries that retailers sold separately are also affected.
