This Week's Hot Pic: "3-Way Bulb," by Eric Turmail, Florissant, Missouri
About this week's photo, Eric says: "After seeing a lot of digital photos with distracting 'blown-out' highlights, I thought I'd intentionally use a light as my subject. I mounted my Canon G3 on a tripod only inches away from this bulb and shut off the rest of the room lights. I closed down the camera's aperture, and experimented with the amount of light different shutter speeds allowed. The rest of my family always wonders what I'm up to with odd setups like this. But they always seem to enjoy the pictures when I'm done."
