Your Guided Tour of the All-New PCWorld.com

Here's how to get the most out of our revamped site.

Guided Tour Continued

4. Join the conversation.

When it comes to technology, you've got questions, opinions, and expertise. So do the millions of other folks who visit PCWorld.com. And our new site provides three ways to share all of the above with the rest of the PC World community (to post, you'll need to register as a PCWorld.com member):

Comments. Just finished reading a PC World article and have a reaction? Share it with other site visitors: Click the Comment icon, and you can post a response. (Published comments appear at the bottom of an article.)

User reviews. Add your rating.Reading a lab-tested PCW review is good; reading a lab-tested PCW review plus the opinions of real people who have used the product is even better. Product reviews in major hardware and software categories include a new User Reviews tab, plus an 'Add your review' tab that lets you quickly add your own ratings and evaluations of products you own and use.

Our Downloads section provides a similar evaluation feature that lets you rate and review shareware, freeware, and demos, along with User Reviews you can read to see what others have to say.

PCW ForumsForums. We've opened up discussion forums on tech topics ranging from laptops to Linux. They're great places to ask (or answer) a question, chime in on the news of the day, or provide feedback to PC World. You can lurk and read without registering, but we hope you'll become a member and post messages of your own.

5. Discover other new features and changes.

You'll find other enhancements all over the site. Such as:

Easy article sharing. When you find an article on PCWorld.com you'd like to share with a colleague or friend, click the E-Mail link near the top of the page, and you can quickly e-mail them a link to the story.

Improved column and blog navigation. The new Columns & Blogs section puts all of our popular columns and blogs in one place for easy perusal. Columns (such as Answer Line) are presented in a handy new format that starts with the current installment, then works its way backward so you can check out previous editions.

New ways to get prices. Are you looking for our Product Finder, which lets you locate online merchants that offer a product and see how much you'll pay? We've renamed it Latest Prices, and it's accessible from the top of every PCWorld.com page. Info on sellers is just as readily available within product reviews--click on the new Pricing tab for a full list.

We hope you'll like the new site--and whether you've got compliments, criticisms, or ideas for additional tweaks or new features, we want to hear them. Drop by our forum discussion of the site and let us know what you think--and thanks for being part of the PC World community.
