This Week's Hot Pic: "Alone," by John Gillett, Burlington, Ontario

John writes: "During my lunch in Toronto each day, I enjoy taking a walk with my camera. On this particular day I went to Toronto City Hall. I noticed that most people populate the outskirts, leaving the center barren and empty. I decided to try to get a minimalistic shot of a lone walker brave enough to forge across this expanse on his own. I walked most of the way up a long ramp to get a good vantage point and staked out the area. This is the result."
