Wireless News: Boeing Grounds In-Flight Wi-Fi
Boeing will phase out its Connexion by Boeing service, which has provided broadband wireless Internet access on board commercial airlines for a fee. The service, available on some flights in Europe and Asia, was never rolled out by any major U.S. carrier. "Regrettably, the market for this service has not materialized as had been expected," explained Boeing CEO president and chair Jim McNerney.
