Notebook News: HP Notebook Features Built-In Global WWAN
Hewlett-Packard says its HP Compaq nc6400 is the first notebook in the U.S. to offer built-in global WWAN networking. The nnc6400's internal WWAN radio connects you to Cingular Wireless's BroadbandConnect service for Internet access in over 115 countries where the service is available, according to HP. Also, you can buy the notebook without the built-in WWAN radio and add it later with HP's Broadband Wireless Module. The notebook with integrated WWAN connectivity starts at $1599.

Notebook Review: Toshiba's HD Laptop
Toshiba's Qosmio G35-AV650 ($2999 or less online) is the first notebook to include an HD DVD drive for playing high-definition content. The playback was fantastic, in our tests, providing incredible image detail and depth as well as superb sound.
The G35-AV650 runs Windows XP Media Center and includes a TV tuner and a remote control. However, at 10.1 pounds, you're not likely to travel any further with this notebook than your living room.
