Kavasoft has announced the release of Curator 1.0, which it describes as "an artwork manager for iTunes." Curator 1.0 is shareware and costs US$17.99 to register.

Curator lets you manage artwork for your iTunes library on an album-by-album basis. It helps you find obscure album covers and features indicators that show you at a glance which albums have missing artwork.

Curator looks for album art on Amazon.com, and finds artwork for foreign titles by searching Amazon.com's international sites. It can handle special editions and multiple artwork for one album; it can show you multiple results and lets you choose the one you like.

Curator works with Cover Flow, front Row and the AppleTV. It also adds art directly to your iPod, so you can see artwork on your iPod while your music plays.

Curator requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later and is a Universal binary. It's localized in English, French, German, Japanese, Italian and Dutch. A downloadable demo is available.
