Portable Video With a Twist

Mobile Computing News, Reviews, & Tips

News: Sharing Videos via Cell Phone

Cingular/AT&T says it will offer a video sharing service to customers on its 3G network. Here's how it'll work: You dial a buddy who's also a Cingular 3G network customer. Your buddy answers, agrees to accept the video, and then sees and hears what you're capturing on your cell phone.

News: The Monster-Truck Razr

Motorola's Razr Maxx Ve, chunkier and taller than other Razr phones, is the monster-truck version of the Razr line, says PC World writer Grace Aquino. The Maxx Ve has a larger external display, a 2-megapixel camera with a digital auto-focus lens, and a redesigned keypad designed to make dialing easier. Verizon is the exclusive provider; the phone will cost $200 after a $50 rebate and with a new two-year contract.

News: Motorola's PDA/Phone

Motorola's rugged hybrid phone, aimed at mobile sales teams, includes a bar-code scanner, GPS navigation (though no map software is included), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 2-megapixel camera. The Motorola MC35 also supports e-mail and Internet access.
