InflightPower.com has introduced a new power charging product that recharges the Apple iPhone's battery while you're traveling on an airplane. It works by converting the power provided through the headphone jack in the airplane seat to regulated power. It costs US$44.99.

The device is square and weighs about 3 ounces. It includes a tip that enables you to plug in an iPod or iPhone for charging (it works with fourth-generation and higher iPods, iPod minis and iPod nanos as well). The Inflight Power Recharger also enables you to work off the power provided by the seat audio jack while charging your battery.

The company also provides tips for BlackBerry smartphones and Motorola phones -- a kit containing both tips costs $49.99.
