Big and Beautiful

Pandigital's 15-Inch PAN-150 frame screams to be established as a centerpiece in your living room. At 15 inches diagonally, the frame offers a large, beautiful picture that commands attention--as does its steep price of $299.

In my tests, the 1024-by-768-pixel screen did a lovely job rendering my images, delivering saturated colors and pleasing contrast. Also, the frame comes with two interchangeable bezels.

The frame's features resemble those of the 8-inch Pandigital DPF80-2, which costs $180. The unit has mini-USB and USB ports for attaching other flash storage devices; menus are graphical and easy to figure out; and navigation buttons are conveniently located on the rear of the the right side of the unit. The included remote, though small, is a bit easier to use than Kodak's, and it conveniently tucks away in the CompactFlash slot.

These two frames offer distinct reasons for preferring one over the other. If size and statement matter, the 15-inch Pandigital should satisfy your desires. If easy wireless connectivity and flexible content playback are more your thing, the Kodak 8-inch EX811 is a good choice.
