Findley Designs has updated its iPod Access utility to version 4.1. The new update is free for registered 4.0 users, and costs US$19.99 for new users.

iPod Access is a music and video transfer utility for Mac OS X and Windows that helps you recover content stored on your iPod. It lets you access the songs on your iPod, display and sort them and search for songs similarly to how you would in itunes. iPod Access will copy them back to iTunes or to an external drive for backup.

New to iPod Access 4.1 is support for the iPhone. It also improves integration with iTunes and makes numerous bug fixes, according to Findley Designs.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later and iTunes 7.3 or later. It is a Universal binary.
