Photo Contest: Hot Pics of the Week for September

Teresa writes: "I caught [Meagan] off guard as she emerged from under the waterfall. I used my Canon Powershot SE IS without the flash to take this picture."

Paul writes: "I used a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a 70-300 mm lens to get this shot. I used Adobe Photoshop Elements to give the subject color while giving everything else a black and white look."

Derek says that he took this photo using a Nikon D80 with a Hoya R72 infrared filter. The infrared filter required a very long exposure even though it was mid-day--30 seconds, in fact--which resulted in the somewhat blurry trees.

Kathryn writes: "I took this photo on a sunny day in Pensacola, Florida, with my Nikon D70. It was originally in color but I converted it to black and white in Photoshop."

This photo was taken on the Marne River near Noisy-le-Grand, near Paris, using a Nikon D70.

Dan writes: "My Kodak DX7590 does not have a manual focus mode. I had to focus on a fence post and then re-frame the picture on the cactus before pressing the shutter button all the way down in order to keep the wire in sharp focus."
