Apple Updates iPod Software

Apple has released a software update that fixes bugs on some iPods.

The iPod_26.1.0.1.ipsw update will be automatically downloaded and installed onto a compatible iPod when a user syncs their media player up with their computer. The update is downloaded in the background by iTunes, and is not available through Software Update of for direct download from Apple's website.

The update is believed to have appeared specifically for the company's latest iPod range, including the third-generation iPod nano, the iPod classic and iPod touch.
