Waiting for E-Postage to Mature
PC World's coverage of the category to date.
Since the U.S. Postal Service announced its format for electronically delivered postage last spring, several vendors have been developing PC-based equivalents to "personal postage meters," promising the end of waiting in post-office lines. During this time, PC World has been monitoring and reporting on their progress and anticipating the time when we could tell you which e-postage solution works best.
It turns out that the field is still too new for a definitive answer. At the time our December 1999 print issue went to press, there were only two e-postage vendors with shipping products we could review. When more products are available, PC World will compare them and bring you the results. In the meantime, the links below represent an overview of PC World's coverage of this product category.
