Apple has shipped iTunes 7.5 for Mac and for Windows systems.
The update is described as including numerous enhancements and is recommended for all iTunes 7 users.
Chief among the enhancements is support for the iPhone in the UK and Germany, which goes on sale this week. This support will extend to enabling new iPhone owners to activate their devices using Apple's iTunes software and the capacity to sync the iPhone with iTunes.
The update also offers support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). The software also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.
Apple has also issued a revised version of QuickTime for all current and supported systems, including Mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
