StartRight: I was having a huge problem with start-up icons not showing in the taskbar and very slow boot. As soon as I loaded Start Right, my problems went away. My XP Pro computer starts like the day I bought it.

HP Color Laserjet 2840: Despite its size, noisiness, and memory intensive software it was a reasonably good multifunction printer with good quality output, when I had Windows XP. It is now a boat anchor of a printer with almost no Windows Vista support and therefore very limited functionality. Stay away!

Wireless G 54MBPS Cable/DSL Router (Linksys-WRT54G): Basic out-of-the-box is not adequate for small office/home use. I had to buy the extended-range, antenna which was expensive. I am disappointed that there are only four ports. I had to buy an extra eight-port switch to connect all my desktop units.

My Book Essential Edition External 500GB Hard Drive: I copied many files and directories to My Book, but during the third week they all became inaccessible. My Book stopped appearing in My Computer under either Hard Disk Drives or Devices with Removable Storage. The WD support site has many features, but none address how to resolve the problem. I will not return it for exchange because it contains many personal files that I cannot access to wipe from the drive.
