Xbox Live Having Issues Over the Holidays

Microsoft has responded to intermittent Xbox LIVE issues that started shortly after Christmas.

Reported headaches included an inability to sign in (I had that problem for two days), matchmaking (had that too), and account recovery (roger that).

"While the service was never completely offline, problems like this are not acceptable," writes Microsoft's Major Nelson.

"The entire LIVE team has been working day and night to ensure that you can have a great LIVE experience. While we're not done yet, I wanted to let you know that things are getting better each hour."

While no reason was given for the connectivity problems, it is believed that an increased number of new Xbox 360 owners are to blame.
