Asustek Computer plans to bring Wii-like wireless gaming to PCs with the Eee Stick, two controllers that use motion sensors so people can bowl, slash swords, and play other games on a PC.

Initially, Asustek plans to bundle the controllers with its popular Eee PC low-cost laptops and the desktop Eee Box and will be available in mid-August. Next year, the Eee Sticks will be sold in packs with five to eight games they can be used with for around US$66 to $82.

So far, Asustek has only inked licensing agreements with a handful of game companies so their games can be used with Eee Stick. The company plans to talk with more companies, including Electronic Arts (EA) to expand game offerings.

Asustek will also launch its new Ares gaming PC, a monster of a PC armed with Intel Core2 Duo Extreme microprocessors, Nvidia 8700M GT quad SLI graphics (scalable link interface) and up to 8G bytes of DDR3 DRAM (double data rate, third generation).

The company did not disclose pricing nor availability of the Ares.
