New Charger and Backup Battery Works With iPhone, iPod

i.Sound on Tuesday introduced its 2-in-1 Charger & Backup Battery. The device offers additional power for the iPhone and all iPod models with a 30-pin dock connector. It costs US$49.99.

The device features a two-in-one USB AC adapter that doubles as an iPod and iPhone charger; it can provide an additional 30 hours of music, 6 hours of video playback and three hours of talk time for iPhone users. It incorporates a status indicator that tells you how much life is left on the battery.

The kit includes the charger/back-up battery, USB AC adapter and a retractable USB charging cable.

i.Sound's Web site had not been updated with information about the new accessory as Macworld posted this article.
