Apple Updates Apple TV for IPhone

Apple has released a software update for the Apple TV.

The software - which is only available using the 'Updates" section within Settings on an Apple TV - adds support for MobileMe and the new Remote application that will be free in the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch.

MobileMe now shows up in the Photo section and there is a way to connect with the new iPhone and iPod touch remote application under the Settings -> General -> Remotes section.

Apple's Mobile Me service has been sighted in full operation during the day, but it's intermittent - it's presently nonfunctional.
