Samson Technologies has introduced the StudioDock 3i, a set of studio monitor speakers with a dock connector and USB interface. The StudioDock 3i costs US$149 per pair.

The StudioDock 3i integrates its own iPod dock and has a USB connector. The monitors feature 3.25-inch copolymer woofers with Santoprene surround and a 25mm silk dome tweeter with neodymium motor structure. They're powered by an internal 30-watt amplifier (15 watts per side) with custom equalization, and feature a 3.5mm stereo input jack on the front panel to plug in an additional sound source, along with a headphone output jack and volume control.

The integrated iPod dock lets you charge an iPod, and if you use the USB connector to attach to a host computer, you can also use the speaker system to synchronize your iPod with iTunes.

The speakers feature a rear port to improve bass response, along with stereo RCA inputs and a passive speaker output connection.

A USB cable and 2-meter 18-gauge speaker cable is included.
