Kannuu has announced the free beta release of their iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK enables iPhone application developers to integrate Kannuu's own indexing and lookup capabilities into their own applications.

Kannuu's technology works by analyzing content and organizing it into an index, the basis for a lookup that determines how content is presented to the user when they search. Kannuu automatically prioritizes each item in the list; the lookup is generated by presenting the user with the most likely set of characters needed to build their desired phrase.

Kannuu can also employ a unique interface in which the user selects the most likely characters by navigation up, down, left, right and center using a directional controller instead of a keyboard.
