Nero 8 Ultra Edition: After several e-mail exchanges and two wasted reinstalls, Nero finally revealed that not all sound capture devices are compatible, but would still not refund my money. They said I should have looked up the list of compatible devices before buying. That's not a way to keep customers, or get new ones!

Hewlett-Packard PSC 1510 All-In-One Inkjet Printer: Within a month of setup, the scanner failed catastrophically. Tech support was helpful, but the ultimate determination was that my 1510 was scrap and had to be replaced. HP sent me a refurbished model as a replacement. That one has never worked properly either.
