Tom Bihn has introduced the Checkpoint Flyer laptop briefcase, a new carrying case that comes in sizes to fit Apple's line of laptops. It costs $220, and will ship in late September.

The Checkpoint Flyer is designed to get you through airport security quickly. The Checkpoint Flyer is a briefcase-style laptop bag that's been especially designed to speed you through Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints at airports. In fact, it's Tom Bihn's answer to a design challenge issued by the TSA to meet the service's new "checkpoint friendly" program guidelines. The case is designed to allow TSA officials to scan the laptop within the bag without having an obstructed view.

The case is made of 1050 denier ballistic nylon and uses splash-proof YKK Uretek zippers, Duraflex Stealth buckles and Poron foam-padded handles. The case features 11 organization pockets, a back pocket that zips open to accept the handle of a roll-aboard and a quick-access boarding pass/map pocket.

A folded foam laptop compartment encases the laptop in 8mm closed cell foam. The case comes in three sizes--one for the MacBook and MacBook Air, one for the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro, and one for the 17-inch MacBook Pro.
