Logitech Ships MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse

Logitech recently released the MX 1100 Cordless Laser mouse. This US$80 mouse for righties uses the 2.4GHz wireless spectrum, and has six buttons, a quick-change tracking button, and a scroll wheel.

In this week's Macworld Video, I take first look at the MX 1100 mouse. I'll have a detailed review in the upcoming weeks.

Show Notes

I didn't talk about it in the video, but the MX 1100 has a nifty scroll wheel that can switch between a freewheel and ratcheted movement. This wheel was introduced with Logitech's MX Revolution mouse, which is still available from Logitech. Macworld Senior Editor Dan Frakes raved about the scroll wheel when it first hit the market. And he still likes it.

In the video, I mention that Macworld will publish a roundup of mice, keyboards, and desktop sets in the December 2008 issue of Macworld. The reviews for each product in the roundup will appear online as they are ready to be published. You can also peruse our list of mice reviews and our list of keyboard reviews
