Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball is coming to the Wii as a retail game this winter, to follow the downloadable Xbox Live Arcade game due for release in October.

Not content on solely bringing the game to Xbox 360 in September, Gamecock Media last week announced it will be expanding the game and bringing it to Wii this winter.

"The competition between the Pirates and the Ninjas is so huge that battles are breaking out all over," said Harry Miller, El Presidente of Gamecock Media Group. "We're happy to bring this grand conflict to the Wii, and give players the chance to help determine who the ultimate champions are."

In addition to the eight-person multiplayer of the Xbox 360 version, Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball on Wii includes what we can only imagine to be a gripping story mode, bonus challenges, and motion controls.

For the uninitiated, "Pirates vs. Ninjas" is an internet meme that started in 2002 and asks the question, "Who would win in a fight: pirates or ninjas?"
