Sling Media on Thursday released an update for its SlingPlayer software, improving and fixing several items.

Among the changes in SlingPlayer 1.0.7 is improved video quality, according to the company. Sling Media also added an online Slingbox registration and the ability for users to store their Slingbox ID online for easy access.

The new version also has an improved Slingbox Setup Assistant with new setup and configuration screens that are streamlined. Users can now quickly cycle between Fullscreen (4:3), Widescreen (16:9), Letterbox, Windowbox, and Pillarbox modes and the Show/Hide player controls are now available with a one-click toggle.

SlingPlayer 1.0.7 can be downloaded from the company's Web site.
