Bob Engel asked the Answer Line Forum how he could copy and paste text without pasting the font and other formatting along with the actual words.
I use a free little program by Steve Miller called PureText. This is one of the few programs I'm actually delighted to have running in my system tray.
Once installed, you simply click that systray icon to convert the contents of the clipboard to straight ASCII text. Or, better yet, set up a hotkey that will both do the conversion and paste the clean text into the current application. I think I press my user-defined PureText hotkey (WIN-v) more often than I press CTRL-v to do a regular paste.
