2008 saw some great developments in the field of robotics, including a unicycling robot from Japan's Murata, a personal transporter called the Winglet that's lighter and more portable than the Segway, a robot that took a bow as conductor of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and robotic bugs from the U.S. military.
