Google's Android Phone Hits Main Street

The first U.S. cell phone based on Google's Android platform is now available at T-Mobile stores. The G1 costs $180 with a two-year service agreement and mail-in rebate. It is a direct competitor to the Apple iPhone. The phone will go on sale outside of the U.S. later this year, starting with T-Mobile in Europe.
