Senior Writer Darren Gladstone went to the kickoff event for the release of the first module from the highly anticipated new video game Spore. The Creature Creator component of the game lets users design personalized monsters that can be shared online. Gamers can import these creatures into the full version of the game, which Maxis says will be released in September. The final version of the game will feature gameplay that involves creating a cellular creature that you can evolve into a tribe of sentient beings which can try to leave their home planet and populate the galaxy.
