EMI, Apple Debut the ITunes Pass

Music company EMI and Apple on Tuesday debuted a new way to purchase music, video and other content on the Apple Store.

Dubbed the iTunes Pass, EMI has chosen Depeche Mode as the first band to be available using iTunes Pass. If you sign-up, exclusive singles, remixes, video and other unspecified content will automatically be delivered to you as soon as they become available on iTunes.

Users who sign-up for Depeche Mode's iTunes Pass will get the band's new single "Wrong" from their forthcoming album "Sounds of the Universe." The album is scheduled for release on April 21, 2009.

Depeche Mode iTunes Pass users will also get the Black Light Odyssey Dub Remix of the new track "Oh Well." Over the next 15 weeks users will get video exclusives before and after the album's release, according to EMI.

The Depeche Mode iTunes Pass costs $18.99.
