PC World's Test Center ran a series of power consumption tests on laptops, desktops, HDTVs, and LCD monitors to determine how much energy they used in a variety of states--from being simply plugged in to being run at maximum capabilities. Test Center Director Jeff Kuta explains the process and our conclusions.
