Microsoft announces the public availability of its Windows 7 release candidate. The new OS will first be available to Microsoft Developer Network and TechNet subscribers and then on May 5 to the public. Some of the new additions on the release include remote media streaming which Microsoft says enables highly secure, remote internet access to digital files stored on a home PC.
