Palm Pre Not Sold on Sprint's Web Site at Launch

Ginny Mies, PC World

Sprint quietly made some adjustments to its Palm Pre availability press release today. Initially, the release stated you could buy the Pre at Sprint stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores and online at Sprint.com . And poof! The ability to buy your shiny new Pre online is gone

Sure, it is a minor change, but I think it is unfair to the customers who were planning on avoiding the long lines and spending some extra weekend time in their pajamas. Sprint should have at least announced the change so customers had some forewarning. So, future Palm Pre buyers, set your alarm bright and early, slap on some clothes, and get in line at your local Sprint store, Best Buy, Radio Shack or Wal-Mart. It's going to be tough, but once you have the Pre in hand, it will definitely be worth it.
