Gunfire at Apple Store in D.C. Suburb Leaves One Injured

Armed robbery attempt near Washington, D.C., ends in gunshot injury and sets off police search for the bandit, who was seen wearing a fake beard.

An attempted armed robbery at a US Apple Store has resulted in one gunshot injury and a massive police search for the bandit.

The Loop, reporting on a story from NBC Washington, states that an apparent armed robbery at Apple's Clarendon retail location has left one person injured.

Police have roped off the Apple Store and are searching for the adult male suspect using helicopters and dogs.

The suspect is decribed as a skinny black male believed to be in his twenties and wearing a fake beard. He was seen fleeing from the rear of the store. In a throwback to the days before the original iMac the suspect was reportedly clad in beige.

According to AppleInsider, witnesses heard what appeared to be a gunshot from the back of the store and then heard a woman scream.

"Someone was just shot at the store and just were carted out in an ambulance. Unsure what happened but the store is closed down and there are police everywhere," said the witness.
