Sony announces a new, smaller PS3 known as the PS3 Slim, as well as a price drop to $299 for all PS3s. The announcement was made at the Gamescom Conference in Cologne, Germany. The Slim sports Wi-Fi, two USB ports, HDMI and optical outputs, and Blu-ray, as do its older and larger siblings.
