Epson Releases New Home Entertainment Projectors

Epson today released two new home entertainment projectors.

The PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD ($749) is an entry-level projector. With a native 720p resolution, the 705HD uses 3LCD technology. The projector has a brightness up to 2,500 lumens, four color modes, 1.2X optical zoom, and automatic keystone correction.

The 705HD has HDMI, component, and S-video connectors, as well as a USB port.

The MovieMate 60 ($699) is Epson newest combination projector, which has a projector, DVD player, and speakers built into the device. The projector has a native 16:9 aspect ratio, a brightness of 2,000 lumens, and 3LCD technology. The DVD player has support for progressive scan. The MovieMate 60 has 10-watt speakers, as well as support for 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS.

The MovieMate 60 has HDMI, component, composite, and VGA connectors, as well as a audio in jack for an external microphone. Epson includes a carrying case.

For both projectors, Epson includes a two-year parts and labor limited warranty, and a 90-day lamp warranty.
