The iRiver Spinn is on sale at Buy.com for $90, down from its regular retail price of $120. The MP3 player boasts a sleek design that challenges the iPod touch with a slim, brushed-silver body and a dazzling 3.3-inch touchscreen.
Movies and photos appear sharp on the 480-by-272-pixel-resolution screen, and the audio quality is excellent (once you replace the lackluster earbuds). The "Spinn" name refers to a unique control on the device's right-hand side that lets you scroll through menus with a simple stroke. You can also navigate using the touchscreen or a number of other input options on the top and side.
The original retail price tag of $290 placed it among the most expensive 8GB MP3 players on the market, leaving us wondering whether it was worth it for anyone but the most fashion-conscious. The price has since come down (to around $120), but at $90, the iRiver Spinn will certainly turn heads without breaking the bank.
